The Infinite Field is not encountered by looking beyond appearances. It is present in every appearance. Before any distinction can exist, the Infinite Field is already present. As every distinction appears, the Infinite Field remains present. After every distinction ceases, the Infinite Field remains present still. Its presence neither increases through emergence nor decreases through cessation.

The Infinite Field is present in every appearance because no appearance can arise apart from it.

The Infinite Field is not present in some appearances more than others. It is equally present in the smallest and the greatest, the simplest and the most complex, the nearest and the most distant. No appearance possesses more of the Infinite Field than another because the Infinite Field is not divided among appearances. Its presence is complete wherever anything appears.

The nearest grain of sand is an appearance. The Infinite Field is present there.

The most distant galaxy is an appearance. The Infinite Field is present there.

A moment of silence is an appearance. The Infinite Field is present there.

The sound of rushing water is an appearance. The Infinite Field is present there.

The birth of a living being is an appearance. The Infinite Field is present there.

The ending of a civilization is an appearance. The Infinite Field is present there.

Nothing that appears stands apart from the Infinite Field because nothing appears where the Infinite Field is absent, and the Infinite Field is never absent.

This is easily overlooked because attention is naturally drawn toward what differs. Every appearance expresses its own characteristics. Some endure briefly, while others persist for immense spans. Some appear simple, while others display extraordinary complexity. Differences naturally attract attention because they distinguish one appearance from another. Yet throughout every difference, the Infinite Field remains equally present.

The Infinite Field should not be imagined as hidden behind appearances or existing beyond them. It is not waiting to be reached after appearances disappear. Every appearance already expresses its uninterrupted presence. What changes are the appearances themselves. The Infinite Field does not.

For this reason, no appearance is ordinary in one sense or extraordinary in another with respect to the Infinite Field. A falling leaf does not contain less of it than a forming universe. A quiet thought does not contain less of it than the movement of countless galaxies. The Infinite Field is equally present in both, not because they are the same appearance, but because neither appears apart from it.

As appearances become increasingly varied, it becomes even easier to become absorbed in their diversity. Endless distinctions can make attention move continually from one appearance to another. Yet every movement of attention remains among appearances in which the Infinite Field is already fully present. No journey through emergence ever carries anything beyond it. No appearance ever leaves it behind.

The Infinite Field therefore remains the unchanging reality throughout every appearance. It is present in every beginning without beginning. It is present in every ending without ending. It is present in every distinction without becoming divided. It is present in every possibility without becoming altered by what appears.

Every appearance points first to itself. Yet every appearance also reveals something deeper: No appearance exists apart from the Infinite Field. Nothing appears apart from it, nothing diminishes it, and nothing can exist where its presence is not already complete.

The Infinite Field is present in every appearance, not because it accompanies appearances, but because it alone never becomes absent while appearances arise and cease.
